Mississippi River Timber Frame
This timber frame home is situated on the shore of the Mississippi River near Carleton Place, just outside of Ottawa.
The home was positioned to fit ‘within the trees’. Log walls are 8″ x 12″ timber, the timber frame roof system has two gable dormers and three dog house dormers. The second floor has timber flooring, while the main floor is polished concrete with in-floor radiant heating.
The craftsman-style kitchen has quartz counters. Timber frame stairs and two fireplaces (including one in the screened in porch) add character and visual warmth.
