Going Net Zero in a Log House

A Net-Zero home is one that produces at least as much energy as it uses.

This Ottawa log home uses an outdoor wood boiler to achieve its net-zero status, having a positive impact on the environment. Wood is a renewable resource and if from a sustainable source, burning wood is carbon neutral. A future-friendly heating practice, not contributing to the Greenhouse Effect. This home also has its own wood supply, making the fuel source self-sustaining.

Other features include an Insulated Concrete Foundation with a walkout basement, radiantĀ  in-floor heating, and river-reclaimed wood flooring.
