It’s home building season!

While we build year-round, the spring brings with it a push in intensity. We currently have a trio of timber frame / log home projects to share with you, including two nearing completion and one a sneak peek.

Ottawa River near Petawawa

This home features 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms within a 1.5 storey design with a walkout basement. It’s being built as a cottage to share between two families.

Located on the banks of the Ottawa River between Pembroke and Petawawa, the project is nearing completion.

Expected move-in date is June 30, 2018 and the owners are looking forward to Adirondack chairs on the deck!

Ottawa River near Westmeath

This is a Discovery Dream Home project managed by Kealey Tackaberry Log Homes (that’s us!) in the quaint and historic village of Westmeath, Ontario. It’s an exciting spot where the Ottawa River begins to narrow and the famous rapids begin.

Built as a cottage for winter and summer getaways, this home features 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The layout is spread over 2 levels and covers 1,496 ft.²

Coming soon…Clear Lake

To be located near Clear Lake around Eganville (Renfrew County), this home plan emerged out of initial discussions through our sister company, EkoBuilt. Before long we realized that a more traditional approach was called for and we began to develop the plans around a modified version of our Mink Lake model, which is our most cost-effective 3 bedroom log home design.

Mink Lake Model specs: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1,362 ft.²

The model’s smartly compact yet spacious layout has a 28′ x 32’ footprint and is spread over 1.5 levels. Special features include a basement garage area which works perfectly with the property as the rear of the home abuts a steep hill.
